HPS Archimedes' Principle Revisited and Science Fair Poster Assignment
In Class:- Review question #4 from HPS Lab 6.1: Applying Archimedes' Principle. Explanation with demonstration with balloons (the demo didn't go quite as well as planned, but students seemed to understand the principle better after the explanation anyway).
Homework:- HPS Lab 6.1: Applying Archimedes' Principle due Wed 1/30/2008.
- Science Fair progress report poster presentation due Fri 2/1/2008:
- Each team should put together a poster that shows:
- the team's current status
- what research has been done (summarize and list all references)
- what has not been successful
- what adjustments/changes have been made since original concept
- abstract (overall project summary)
- any preliminary results that the team has (summarized OK)
- preliminary conclusions (if any)
- Teams should prepare to present posters to each other. Students should aim to keep presentations to about 12-15 minutes.
