HPS Newton's Second Law, Vectors, and Pythagoras

In Class:

• Discuss some more complex problems involving Newton's Second Law of Motion. (See video with RPS class).
• Using vectors and Pythagorean theorem to calculate net force on a body when individual forces are at right angles to each other. (no video for this part.)

Homework:

• Read HPS Lab 3.1: Car Push. We will do this lab (weather permitting) on Monday.
• Wear sneakers for lab on Monday.
• Make progress on science fair project. Research plans will be due Friday 10/19/2007.
