• Yes, I realize that the circuit in question #1 on the homework is not a "pure" parallel circuit: it is actually two bulbs in parallel with each other and in series with the third. This makes it a complex circuit, combining both series and parallel aspects. The purpose of that question is to understand how the flow of current works in the circuit.
