HPS Bookwork (Optics background)

The lesson plans for the day (below) were accidentally not delivered to the substitute teacher. Students actually did a short exercise sheet intended for a different exercise earlier in the year that has no bearing on the current material being studied.

In Class: Mr. Yamashita out today.

  • Read pp. 558 to 565 and then try to figure out the ray diagrams for convex lenses and concave mirrors. These are the convergent examples in HPS Notes 9.1: Ray Diagrams, distributed and started in class on Friday 4/4/2008.
  • Read pp. 574 to 577, the sections on polarized light and lasers.
No homework.

No videos today.
